Meetings, Responsibilities & Legal Governance

The Association operates through structured meetings, clearly defined office bearer responsibilities and established legal procedures to ensure transparency, accountability and effective governance.

General Meetings

  • Annual General Meeting conducted every year.
  • 14 days notice required for Annual General Meeting.
  • Special General Meetings may be convened when necessary.
  • Extraordinary General Meetings may be called for amendments to Rules & Regulations.
  • One-third membership constitutes quorum.
  • General Elections conducted through Annual General Meeting.

Duties Of Office Bearers

  • President supervises and guides the affairs of the Association.
  • Vice President performs presidential duties when required.
  • Secretary manages administration, records and communications.
  • Joint Secretary assists and acts in the Secretary's absence.
  • Treasurer manages accounts, funds and financial reporting.

Legal & Regulatory Framework

  • Governed by the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961.
  • Legal proceedings may be conducted through authorised representatives.
  • Rules & Regulations may be amended through special resolutions.
  • Amendments require approval by three-fourths majority.
  • Dissolution shall be governed by applicable provisions of law.
